William Smedley’s Old Time Music Hour

The Old Time Music Hour is a weekly one hour program of traditional and progressive Appalachian Old Time Music. Simply the best Old Time listening around!

Hours of listening and the host Bill Smedley is just brilliant, the playlists are all viewable, and the listener can choose which episodes to play as and when they want.

Alsia Old Time & Americana Music Campout

Old Time and Americana Campout. Penzance, Cornwall
Come on down and join in some fun, energetic, mad, fiddling’, dancing, singing. 4 days, all night, every night!
Fantastic, magical place, very friendly.
We play Old Time (everything from Skillet Lickers to Holy Modal Rounders)
There is also a separate Bluegrass & Americana marquee which is hosted by Flats & Sharps and some strange ‘happenings’ are known to take place there near dawn.
Dancers most welcome.
Stop press: Square Dance on Sunday (Caller Julian Marshall)
Might even have some Doc Watson tunes, Blues, and even have some great Cajun players that will probably pop by.
Look forward to seeing all our friends and meeting some new ones.

Free event, but contributions gratefully accepted.
Hosted by Guy & Xanthe Ponsford and Old Time Music Cornwall
Marquees Fire Water & Loos provided.
